Running a 51,000 sq ft fitness facility in Bergen County
General Manager · Norwood, New Jersey
Impact Zone NJ is a 51,000 sq ft gym in Norwood, New Jersey — the largest fitness facility in Bergen County. I have been on the team since 2019 and have served as General Manager since December 2021.

I started at Impact Zone as a Sales Rep Manager, moved into personal training, and took over as General Manager in December 2021. Today I own membership sales, day-to-day operations, and the staff team.
Membership has grown from roughly 2,000 to 3,500 members under that leadership. That growth came from a repeatable sales process, a floor team that knows how to have a real conversation with a walk-in, and retention work that starts the day someone signs up rather than the month they think about leaving.
The building is built for people who take training seriously and for people walking into a gym for the first time. Over 100 pieces of strength and cardio equipment, a full free-weight floor, an indoor basketball court, and sports turf for conditioning and athletic work.
Recovery is a real part of the offering, not an afterthought: cold plunges, infrared saunas, red light therapy, and hot yoga are all on site. That mix is what lets one membership serve a competitive lifter, a high school athlete, and someone whose goal is to move better at 55.
Gyms live and die on two numbers: how many people join and how many stay. I manage both with the same discipline — daily sales pipeline review, staff accountability on floor coverage and member follow-up, and a facility standard where equipment gets fixed before a member has to mention it twice.
Everything I have learned about consultative selling came from this floor. You are not selling a treadmill; you are figuring out what someone actually wants to change about their life and showing them the shortest honest path to it.
